Bianco di Toscana I.G.T. Erta al Mandorlo

In the 80s, looking for a white wine production that could pair with tuscan flavours, Mauro Galardi researched an italian variety to blend with Trebbiano Toscano that culd give intensity and persistency to the wine.
In 1987 Mauro planted Verdicchio at Poggiopiano and asked the Regione Toscana the iintegration of Verdicchio among the Bianco di Toscana I.G.T. admitted varieties, basing on his research and on the studies of the Università of Florence.

Harvest and grapes’ selection are carried out with the maximum care, respecting the integrity of the berries and avoiding oxidation and undesired fermentations.
The grapes are immediately soft pressed, mantaining the freshness and the primary aromas of grapes.

Fermentation in stainless steel tanks, at controlled temperature.

Refinement in stainless steel tanks and then in the bottle for minimum 2 months.

Certified ICEA (Istituto Certificazione Etica ed Ambientale), as a guarantee of the compliance with the UE Organic Law (Reg. CE 834/07 e CE 889/08).

Raw and grilled fish, white meat and liver, mushrooms, truffle, soft cheese. Fish based dishes that require a wine of a medium-high consistency
